Kishtwar 13 Jun …….. A renowned Socio-Political Activist and columnist from Chenab Valley Mr Junaid Malik has welcomed the verdict in Kathua case in which the culprits have been convicted for their heinous crime.
In a press statement Mr Malik said that kathua rape and murder of minor had jolted the nation and world in which a group of beasts had hatched a conspiracy which they executed on a minor child. He also lambasted those fake leaders and anti social parties who rallied behind the rapist and murders just for their petty vested interests. Malik also demanded that court should take so motto cognizance of those persons who misused national symbols and tricolour to shield the culprits.
Mr. Malik also had praises for the exemplary role played by the Hon’ble court, the tireless efforts of Crime Branch and Advocate Mubeen Farooqi . Adding that the valorous role played by Advocate Mubeen Farooqi is highly hailed who termed him as real rights activist without any pomp and show. He said that the convicts must be given capital punishment to set an example for such monsters. The prosecution must appeal in higher court to challenge the sentence and demand gallows for the convicts.

The recent decision taken by State Administrative Council under the chairmanship of Hon'ble Jammu and Kashmir Governor Shri Satya Pal Malik regarding opening of 50 New Govt Degree Colleges across Jammu and Kashmir is presently the most welcomes decision and celebrated thing that Govt has given to the public of Jammu and Kashmir.
Although, it has been categorically mentioned in the Govt order issued that how and where to establish all these colleges. But when it comes to 30 colleges kept for un-served areas, here the appointed committee for it has to take a due care.
Going region specific here, Chenab Valley has some most un-served areas like ChilliPingal, Bunjwah, Kahara and other areas which are fulfilling all the criteria’s to be called any area an un-served and deserves Govt Degree Colleges.
ChilliPingal is comprised of 18 Panchayats, 02 CD Blocks and even having status of Tehsil headquarter. It is one of the most backward and under developed sub-region within Doda District with rigged topography and lesser connectivity. This area has two oldest higher secondary’s one at Chilli and the other at Jakyas. Population is around 45000 among which ST population is 35 percent and SC population 10 percent. More then 80 percent among the whole population are falling under Below Poverty Line category . Not only this 12th pass out students when have to join any college for further studies have to travel around 30 kms if they join GDC Kilhotran and 45 kms if they join GDC Thathri which is quite a humongous task to do as there is no proper transportation facility in this area. This brings misfortune for more then 80 percent of these students as they have to discontinue their studies which spoils their careers. So drop-out rate at this stage is very high in the whole state of Jammu and Kashmir and which is highest among female students. Safety concern of girls is also a reason for more drop-outs among female students.
This area has also remained most militancy hit area for two long decades which further added to the adversaries of people. Now as pursuing higher education is everyone’s dream and as present Govt is much concerned about the promotion of higher education in Jammu and Kashmir especially in rural areas, the appointed committee for the identification of un-served areas and then making recommendations forward , should put Chilli Pingal into top of the list of un-served areas so that the public of this area can get Govt Degree College on priority basis. It is also to be brought into kind notice of Hon’ble Governor Jammu and Kashmir to sanction the said college in order to fulfill the long cherished demand of Public of Chilli Pingal.

Kishtwar 08Jun ......As a measure of transparency and effective implementation of centrally sponsored schemes run by the J&K State Social Welfare Board, Dr Khalid Hussain Malik KAS, Executive Director cum Secretary J&KSSWB visited various areas of Chenab Valley .
It is worthwhile to mention here that the children of working women in the age group of 6 months to 6 years are provided non-formal education and supplymentry nutrition under National Creche Scheme. Dr Khalid ED/Secretary as Chairman of the Govt established committee visited various Creche Centres of Baderwah . Mrs Nasreen CDPO Baderwah , Mr Subhash TSWO and various functionaries of ICDS and Social Welfare department accompanied with ED/Secretary during the random physical verification process.
Family Counselling Centre(FCC) run by the Central Social Welfare Board New Delhi at Dandi Baderwah providing the services of counselling the female folk in respect of matrimonial and other family disputes was also inspected by the committee members.
Dr Khalid directed the counsellors of FCC Baderwah to develop a good laison with the public, police and civil administration and judiciary for providing the counselling services to the women affected by the violence.

Jammu 30 May ........The National elections of 2019 threw a surprise for all the political parties where NDA has come back to power again, yet again with a bigger mandate paving the way for Narendra Modi to steal the throne.
The coalition of opposition parties with Mahagathbandhan and UPA leading couldn't break the ice who were expecting to defeat the NDA on the fronts of "GST, Demonetisation and Rafael" being the top issues in the election. Many political stalwarts lost the election with huge margin throwing congress to tizzy.
Soon after the results, there is huge hullabaloo in the party with growing voices of dissent and huge murmurs of resignation of Congress Party President Rahul Gandhi.
But on the other side of the coin, new and emerging leaders have stolen the show for the party with their impressive electioneering in India. Many youth leaders who campaigned for the party remained successful win the seats for party through effective execution and social engineering among which one such name is that of Salman Nizami.
Nizami, an eminent Journalist and Socio-Political Activist turned politician from Jammu and Kashmir has achieved a bigger feat in this election. Nizami who shot to fame after 2014 deluge in Kashmir and Narendra Modi dropping his name during Gujrat elections. Modi had called him star campaigner who had then almost given sleepless nights to BJP.
Soon after the 2019 election results, a major section of young leaders have raised the pitch for Salman Nizami be given bigger role in the party at national level.
It is pertinent to mention here that congress has managed to win the seats in the areas where Nizami had been given the responsibility like Maharashtra, Punjab, North East and Central India.
He is considered as an election expert and has played pivotal role in Karnataka, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh elections both in pre poll and post coalition strategy.
