DEO Kishtwar holds meeting with Zonal and Sectoral Magistrates,

Kishtwar, April 04: .......... To ensure smooth conduct of General Elections in the district, District Election Officer Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana today convened a meeting of Zonal and Sectoral Magistrates deployed for the Polling stations in the district.

The DEO, on the occasion stressed for 
ensuring error-free polling process and asked them to share active coordination between Zonal and Sectoral Magistrates and with polling staff for the smooth conduct of the elections in the district  

He further stated that the Magistrate should be well familiar with the location of the polling station, collection centres, route map, sector, transport andcommunication plans.


ADDC Kishtwar,  briefied the participants regarding the start of the poll, time of first vote cast,  besides reporting about any law and order situation asked them to flash reports to his office from time to time.

He further briefied the magistrates about MCC and asked them to strictly adhere the Model Code of Conduct rules.  


At the outset, ARO-51 Kishtwar (ADC) briefied about their responsibilities as Zonal and Sector Magistrates and asked them to act as a felecitator during the election process for free and fair and smooth conduct of elections. 

Nodal Officer Communication instructed the magistrates that end-to-end movement of all reserve EVMs and VVPATs shall be carefully monitored at all times, for which vehicles of sector officers, with reserve EVMs and VVPATs, shall be fitted with GPS tracking system.

Meeting was followed by detailed training session.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mohd. Hanief Malik, ARO- 51 Kishtwar (ADC)  Pawan Parihar, ARO-52 Inderwal (ACR) Dr. Amir Hussain,  Nodal Officer Communication, Dr Mohsin Raza, ENT Kishtwar, beside Zonal and Sectoral Magistrates.
